  • Overview

    The Associate Marketing Manager is a critical role in Sharp Business System’s (SBS) overall marketing efforts to our end-user customers. Primarily, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for the creation, management, and ongoing support of all aspects of SBS’s direct marketing programs. Other responsibilities include assisting the Associate Director of Marketing with the creation, alignment, and tracking of all internal and external marketing related communications, including but not limited to advertisements, copy, presentations, promotions, flyers, and events.


    Associate Marketing Manager is responsible all marketing aspects for the Distributor and dealer Development programs. These include:

    • Prepare marketing strategies in alignment with Company objectives
    • Development of marketing support materials and collaterals for email campaigns
    • Manage and implement sales promotion programs/activities
    • Manage the activity for targeted marketing mail
    • Plan events including registration, employee participation, attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations
    • Assist with the day-to-day marketing for SBS branches
    • Develop prospecting packages for recruitment of new clients
    • Manage process for introducing/signing new clients to SBS programs
    • Contribute and assist in the development of the divisions marketing message and advertising strategy
    • Research office products industry market intelligence and prepare and publish a quarterly business review
    • Develop new sales rep tools to increase their competitive edge and sales success.





    • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent in experience
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Marketing-related position with similar duties and a degree of responsibility in a creative agency or corporate marketing environment
    • Works well under time constraints and pressure situations in an organized, efficient and professional manner
    • Capable of working independently; effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously; flexible and able to adapt quickly to new and changing situations and timelines
    • Self-starter; takes initiative for continuing education and personal development of their skillset
    • Strong problem solving, organization and attention to detail
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels
    • Proficient in Microsoft software applications
    • Some travel may be required (<10%)

    Preferred experience/skills:

    • Superior project management and time management skills
    • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation software (Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua) experience preferred
    • Experience with event planning  (i.e. trade shows, conferences, regional events, etc.), including registration, employee participation, attendee tracking, presentation and materials support, pre/post-event evaluations, and ROI evaluation
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
    • Working knowledge of content management systems and social media platforms
    • Technology/Office Products Industry or B2B marketing experience
