  • Overview

    The primary responsibility of the Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Policy Specialist (MPS) is to administer and enforce SHARP’s MAP policy. This role will specifically oversee monitoring all SHARP MAP products for compliance as well as administering procedures to correct any infringement by working directly with our sales organization and their assigned territory customers.


    • Monitor our SHARP MAP compliance online and thru other media to protect our brand
    • Decipher, engage and protect our retail-dealer seller network landscape with pricing intelligence software
    • Place proactive phone calls (post to outside sales agreement) to dealers and retail management
      • Priority based upon size of MAP infringement and frequency
      • Identify and create a SHARP MAP violation HOT list and communicate to management
      • Counsel the team on all MAP infringements by sales territory
      • Recommend product purchases for rogue retailers violating MAP policy
    • Compose and send letters (post to legal department agreement) to offending dealers
    • Provide web-based training/communications to dealers and sales reps (1 to 1 or 1 to many)
    • Enforce MAP compliance online and in print to maintain authorized seller profit margins
    • Take ownership for the full management of our minimum advertised policy process
    • Provide internal SEMCA communication on obstacles, pricing, competitive price activities
    • Monitor, report on and engage with all relevant dealer websites to monitor and ensure SHARP MAP compliance

    The MPS will utilize all existing tools to support the MAP policy and compliance role as well as to manage their goals:

    • Zero MAP violations
    • Internal and external communications
    • Work cross department, cross function to ensure team success
    • Offer new methods and policy to strengthen our MAP policy, guidelines and adherence
    • When and where effective and appropriate will conduct face to face dealer meetings/presentations
    • When and where appropriate will attend and participate in customer meetings


    • 4 year Bachelor's Degree required
    • 1 year telemarketing selling experience ideal
    • Consumer Electronics, Home Appliance selling experience a plus
    • Experience with MarketTrack / Numerator Omnichannel Advisor a plus
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office especially Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of social networking usage and capabilities preferred
    • Excellent negotiation skills
    • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
    • Demonstrated business/financial acumen
    • Ability to get things done in a matrixed organization
    • Self-starter with superior time management, detail orientation and organization skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
