  • Overview

    Reporting directly to MNS Field Engineering Manager, the MNS Project Engineer will be responsible for supporting multiple small to mid-sized clients with their managed network service needs across multiple markets. The Project Engineer will have direct interaction with clients on a day to day basis performing high level project-based work and providing IT guidance as a trusted advisor.


    • Design, build, maintain, and support of client network infrastructure, servers, applications and other related IT hardware and software.
    • Obtain and maintain IT certifications required by company.
    • Create and maintain client documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
    • Interact with clients, internal staff, consultants and vendors.
    • Manage projects from start to finish.
    • Enter time sheets daily for all work performed.
    • Team coordination on larger client projects.
    • Client project budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned


    • BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus
    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on technical experience managing/supporting multi-server Microsoft environments.
    • Hands-on virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMWare) experience.
    • Experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network firewalls and switches.
    • Must be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
    • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies preferred.
    • Managed Service Provider and/or Managed Security Service Provider experience a plus.
    • Network-based Storage Technology (SAN) experience a plus.
    • Server, security, or network certifications a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients.
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization.
    • 75% local-day travel / 20% remote work / 5% overnight travel.
    • Valid driver’s license Required
    • Must be able to provide own reliable transportation
