Overview

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Marketing Programs and Pricing is responsible for pulling together and driving financial and pricing programs which will deliver profitable revenue, competitiveness and success for Sharp and our dealer-channel partners.  This role is designed around a high-performing marketer, capable of leading the team responsible for these activities to greater success.

 

Extensive experience with channel, wholesale and bid pricing is essential, as is strong knowledge of financial marketing programs (MDF, Co-Op, Incentives, etc.).  Equally critical is a collaborative mindset that can blend field and channel partner knowledge, corporate data analytics and pricing experience/expertise.

 

Developing and mentoring a team of professional marketers and assisting them with their day-to-day activities is another crucial function of this position.  Therefore, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, that combine an engaging management style with a can-do, roll-up your sleeves mentality to drive team performance to new heights. 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluation, analysis, preparation, and acceptance of bids and contracts.
  • Manage and direct staff of pricing and programs experts and ensure their continued development in both program/pricing capabilities and overall business acumen and skills
  • Define pricing models and strategies designed to optimize revenue, market share, brand positioning and long-term profits
  • Partner with sales and business teams to define proper annual channel marketing (rebate and incentive) programs, targeted (vertical market, monthly, etc.) discounting programs and similar GTM efforts
  • Collaboratively engage other marketing teams to ensure pricing and financial programs complement overall campaign activities
  • Guide sales incentive program for channel and direct sales teams, maximizing sales engagement, interest and productivity and overall affinity to Sharp
  • Lead pricing operation activities and act as the liaison between sales, business, product and marketing teams to oversee the implementation of pricing initiatives
  • Responsible for the evaluation, analysis, recommendation, and implementation wholesale pricing
  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Analyze short- and long-term profitability and risks
  • Provide strategic guidance on new packaging, pricing and leasing initiatives and programs to drive Sharp’s strategic advantage in the market, leverage our broad portfolio

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree strongly preferred. MBA a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing programs industry experience.
  • Excellent analytical skills with exposure to financial program creation, leasing options and the ability distill and clearly communicate large amounts of data
  • Office technology market experience valuable/preferred, but not required
  • Advanced computer skills, especially including Excel, and comfort in all common office applications.  Salesforce, Business Intelligence and/or SAP familiarity preferred
  • Clear and confident communication and the ability to comfortably interact with a variety of levels and functional teams within the organization
  • Up to 20% travel
