The Pricing, Bid & Contract Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, analysis and acceptance of Government/Commercial Sharp held contracts as well as Major Account Program pricing requests, bids & opportunities for our dealer channel and SBS branches. Develops pricing and relevant terms and conditions for Bids and RFQs consistent with the company’s goals and philosophies; Analyzes short- and long-term profitability and risks.


The responsibilities and authorities stated below are subject to established policies.

  • Evaluates bids submitted by potential customers to determine terms, conditions and specifications.
  • Investigates and makes recommendations on product requirements within bid.
  • Conducts a financial analysis as well as a competitive analysis regarding the bid.
  • Conducts a risk assessment of relevant bids and point out areas of concern that require discussions with sales, pricing, marketing and business planning departments.
  • Develops, recommends and obtains approval for pricing consistent with company goals to the Sr. Pricing and Bid Manager, and the BPMs.
  • Coordinates Sharp’s bid response with the Bid & Contract Manager, Director of Programs/Pricing, Marketing Department and Field Sales.
  • Prepare required pricing documents for bids being responded to directly by Sharp.
  • Investigates and reports on all bid results and analyzes results for competitive pricing and for future reference.
  • Responsible for maintenance of custom MAP Pricing contracts. Contract updates including extensions, expirations, chargebacks, product substitutions, product additions and removals, etc.
  • Prepares monthly bid status reports detailing all in-house bid activity.
  • Ensures that all contracted pricing is properly loaded into the SAP system so that orders may be properly processed against the contract.
  • Minimal Travel requirements


  • BS Business/Marketing or a minimum of five years experience in the Copier/Fax industry either in Marketing or Sales related field working with Dealers or National Accounts.
  • Strong analytical abilities required.
  • Strong Excel abilities required.
