Overview

Primary responsibility for the Home Appliance Sales Representative is to drive sales for our Home Appliance products tied to a specific sales budget and overall assigned territory plan to be achieved.  The Home Appliance Sales Representative will engage with resellers, distributors, e-commerce targeted accounts through sales activities, and be responsible for and measured by the following KPI sales performance metrics:

  • Year over year sales growth of dealers/retailers in named territory accounts.
  • Managing administrative processes relevant to efficiently maximizing sales
  • Vendor Scorecard measurements from key resellers to include sales, service, support and operational efficiency

The Sales Represenative will be assigned specific tasks across all sales channels with a primary focus on revenue generating activities.  Primary duties include:

  • Reseller engagement to drive sell through into consumer’s homes, condominiums, apartments.
  • Vendor portal responsibility for model and item set up at SHARP’s reselling partners.
  • SHARP system access capable of running shipping reports, customer activity reports, and price reporting to monitor and enforce our MAP Policy.
  • MAP reporting and monitoring to protect our brand and maintain Premium market positioning.

Responsibilities

  • Sales presentations and initiatives inside Dealer stores and with website team members across the NECO, ALMO, R&B, Climatic distribution channels.
  • Sales Representatives will work with ALMO Territory Area Managers, R&B Sales Managers and Climatic Sales Managers to train the dealers’ sales teams, and support sales activities into the dealer and to the consumer.
  • Sales Representatives will have specific road trips routes for dealer meetings as well as to attend and present at channel trade shows to drive new sales opportunities. These trips may include overnight stay and multi-day travel.
  • Building dealer relationships with owner/principals, in-store salespeople, service technicians, and others within the dealer’s business.
  • Developing connection with local third-party service companies while working with SHARP Service team.
  • The CSR will profile the dealership and the sales representatives who are within the dealership to determine where to focus their time and energy in achieving the above KPI's.
  • The Sales Representatives will coordinate with their assigned SHARP sales leader on all aspects to ensure the greatest success for our SHARP brand and products.
  • Provide timely updates to management on performance, opportunities, concerns, key dealer sales reps/contacts and needs like training, pricing, meetings, etc. to drive growth and achievement of the dealer's primary objectives and SHARP's quota performance.
  • Sales plan achievement for each 6 month fiscal period with agreed-upon goals and objectives per the above KPI's.
  • Daily and frequent proactive calls to dealers:
    • Priority based on sales plan and product portfolio;
    • Dealer opportunity, identification and engagements;
    • Sales support on product information, pricing, strategy, new products;
    • Communicate sales programs and other key SHARP brand and product information.
  • Web based training/communications to dealership and sales reps (1 to 1 or 1 to many).
  • Trade show coordination, meeting scheduling, effective SHARP social programming.
  • Internal SEMCA communication on deals, obstacles, pricing, competitive activities, new products.
  • Update all internal tools/systems/databases regarding dealers (i.e., adding/updating dealer sales reps and key contacts).

The Sales Representatives will utilize all existing tools to support the dealers as well as manage their goals:

  • Sales and brochure materials, Videos and product demonstrations;
  • Webinars and email communications;
  • Trainers and web-based training;
  • When and where effective and appropriate, conduct face-to-face dealer; meetings/presentations; attend and participate in trade shows.

The Home Appliance Sales Representatives will work the appropriate schedule to support their assigned geography and territory sales leader. They will report to the Senior Director of Sales (in some cases more than one sales leader) and be located in the SEMCA HQ office, Montvale, NJ.

 

Qualifications

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2 years selling experience or telemarketing preferred.
  • Consumer Electronics, Home Appliance selling experience ideal.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills required.
  • Knowledge and use of MS Office required.
  • TRAVEL: Up to 40-50% travel, domestic.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $45,000-$80,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
