Overview

The Strategic Account Representative will provide technical expertise and product knowledge across the Sharp line up for dealer sales representatives including training, on-site product demonstrations and preparing responses to end user requests for proposals. Under the direction of the AVP or Director of Regional Sales the SAR will provide sales activities at defined large multi state strategically identified Sharp Dealers.  Under the supervision of the assigned Sr. Territory Business Manager, the SAR will assist in the execution of the Dealer Strategic Plan and support via specific planned activities throughout the dealership organization.

 

**This position can be based out of the central US region but travel is expected to vary from 30-55%**

Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Representative (SAR) will deliver critical front-line support to assigned Sharp dealerships by:

    1. Building strong strategic relationships with key leaders within the dealership
    2. Developing deep product knowledge to share with dealership sales personnel through training, on-site presentations, assisting with end user requests for proposals and general inquires.
    3. Developing technical expertise in all functional areas of Sharp products including multi-function printers, displays and laptops.
    4. Working with product specific sales teams to obtain a base knowledge of the specific markets for all Sharp products.
    5. Assisting the AVP or Director of Regional Sales by:
      1. Reporting on effectiveness of dealer representative training and Sharp marketing programs.
      2. Providing in-depth insight into dealership development needs.
    6. Supporting the Territory Business Manager by
      1. Executing defined and assigned sales activities within multi-state dealerships.
      2. Training all sales and marketing personnel on the features, advantages, and benefits of the complete Sharp product line-up.
      3. Providing a first point of contact for all sales personnel at strategic dealership as it relates to product questions and answers.
      4. Implementing the Dealer Strategic Plan.
      5. Riding with dealer sales reps in the field on dealer sales calls to assist in closing Sharp product sales.
      6. Creating with assigned TBM presentations and activities in support of Sharp promotions onsite at dealer locations.
      7. Planning additional, specific training as requested by TBM or dealership management.
    7. Attending as requested at regional road shows, offsite personnel development/ training, fiscal review meetings, and national sales meetings.
    8. Achieving quota expectations and any assigned Management by Objectives.
    9. Effectively managing time and travel arrangements to accomplish all goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in selling Copier and Imaging Systems documents through the dealer channel.
  • Should have good knowledge of sales, service, and administrative functions.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • This position can be based out of the central US region but travel is expected to vary from 30-55%

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $39,450-$71,700. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
