Overview

Under the direction/supervision of the Sr. Director - Supply Chain Planning, the Planner - Supply Chain Planning (Parts) executes and manages end to end supply chain activities for assigned BU’s and productsThis position is responsible for demand and supply planning; including the forecasting of assign products, the purchase order placement and management with suppliers, the placement of inventory within the network, and the allocation of inventory to demand. The individual is expected to plan and execute supply chain activities in an effort to maximize sales, achieve the highest level of customer service, while maintaining balanced inventory levels

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for PSI (Purchase, Sales, & Inventory) Process for assigned BU/products
  • Manage MRP Planning System and parameters in an effort to maintain appropriate levels of inventory to meet customer demand and service objectives
  • Analyze MRP plan and issue replenishment orders to suppliers timely and to maintain inventory to provide optimal customer service level and fill rates
  • Establish, with the assistance of Quality Control and Marketing, an initial service parts list to support new product launch. Monitor inventory levels to support equipment population through their life cycle and adjust inventory planning parameter to changing service requirements
  • Negotiate with supplier(s) on delivery and quality standards. Monitor supplier on-time delivery performance to provide desired inventory service level and for continuous improvements
  • Assist in resolving supplier delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintains Parts Master Files in SAP with current data from Japan or domestic sources
  • Monitors delivery and service performance orders from internal and external suppliers. Expedites as necessary to meet requirement needs
  • Analyze back-orders and take necessary corrective actions. Interact with supplier, customers and Technical support to resolve parts shortage issues
  • Prepares the Monthly PSI/Sales vs. Budget data
  • Determine optimal strategy between direct fulfillment and domestic fulfillment
  • Manages and monitors inventory levels and all transfers and implement inventory reduction programs
  • Monitors safety stock target levels.
  • Develop, monitors, and report KPI (key performance indicators) & metrics monthly; tracking progress
  • Assists in employee training programs for supply chain/ logistics group
  • Handles special projects and assignments as needed

Qualifications

  • BS degree is preferred
  • 3 – 5 years related work experience
  • SAP MRP Experience
  • Bilingual in Japanese is a plus
  • Strong attention in detail
  • Good working knowledge of teams & process mapping
  • Strong interpersonal as well as communication skills, both verbal and written

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $41,700-$72,300. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
