Overview

Responsible to the Human Resources Director for developing, implementing, and coordinating safety and environmental policies and programs in an assembly manufacturing operation to comply with state and federal regulations and Company policy.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and promote the maintenance of safe and healthy working conditions and recommend measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Advise management on the practical and necessary steps to prevent safety and health hazards from arising as a result of manufacturing operations.
  • Responsible to ensure regulatory compliance for the facility, to include fire prevention systems, chemical storage, material handling, etc.
  • Responsible for enforcement of safety and environmental regulations and policies throughout the facility, to include corrective actions for non-conformance.
  • Oversee and manage ISO 14001 program to support policies, programs, and certification.
  • Ensure appropriate safety training for all employees.
  • Conduct safety and environmental assessments of work areas with management to establish ergonomically correct work stations for all employees.
  • Lead company safety initiatives at all levels.
  • Responsible for all regulatory and required record keeping.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • B.S Degree in a related industrial field, and 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
  • Experience and working knowledge in environmental management in an industrial setting.
  • Experience and working knowledge of OSHA, state and federal regulations and standards.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $51,894 - $97,300. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
