Overview

The Showroom Manager – Print & Digital Display will oversee and manage operations at the Experience Center in Montvale, NJ. This role is responsible for producing high-quality print samples, calibrating and profiling machines to ensure that the machines are in optimal condition, managing Executive Experience Center supply inventory, handling vendor relations, delivering sales presentations, and training end users on-site. Additionally, the Showroom Manager – Print & Digital Display will operate embellishment machines, (spot UV, foil, die cut, etc.) and perform bindery and finishing work. You will be an essential member of our pre-sales team and an expert resource in showcasing the capabilities of Sharp's commercial print solutions.

Responsibilities

Sample Production & Machine Management:

  • Oversee the production of high-quality print samples, ensuring adherence to client specifications and expectations.
  • Perform daily color calibrations on 4 and 6 color presses as well as office MFPs to guarantee precise and consistent color.
  • Operate embellishment machines, including spot UV and foil, to add value and enhance the quality of printed materials.
  • Perform bindery and finishing work, including cutting, folding, and binding, to prepare samples for client presentations.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with other departments to resolve any challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally.
  • Perform shipping operations for print file fulfillment.

Inventory & Vendor Management:

  • Manage paper inventories to ensure stock levels meet operational needs and ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Engage with vendors of various types to manage relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

Sales & Presentations:

  • Lead sales presentations for all devices in the showroom, including A/V equipment and laptops, to showcase the capabilities of our products.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging and accurate representation of our products.

Training & Communication:

  • Provide on-site training for end users, ensuring they are fully equipped to operate our presses efficiently and effectively.
  • Foster strong communication across all levels of the organization, from entry-level operators to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in print production or related fields preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing an Experience Center or similar environment, with a strong background in print production and equipment management.
  • Experience operating embellishment machines such as spot UV and foil, as well as performing bindery and finishing work.
  • Ability to handle paper inventory management, including procurement and coordination with vendors.
  • Excellent presentation skills with experience conducting sales presentations for diverse products and audiences.
  • Solid understanding of how to operate and train others on 4 and 6 color presses, office MFPs, and other printing equipment.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Strong communication abilities, with the ability to effectively engage with team members, vendors, and executives.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance on production equipment.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality work and outstanding service.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions during end-customer and internal interactions.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $44,100 - $92,920. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
