Reporting to SHARP’s Digital Marketing Specialist, our full year internship program is a great opportunity for college students to gain real-world, hands-on experience in the exciting world of consumer brand marketing. Our creative interns will work alongside our marketing team and agencies, including designers, developers, content creators and public relations professionals on a variety of corporate work. We are looking for hands-on, curious people who are inquisitive about our business, visual communication and always hungry to try out new techniques and approaches to bring to your craft.  If you are energetic, eager to learn and have the right attitude, SHARP will be a great place for you. Responsibilities

Social Media Marketing

  • Assisting with the end-to-end process for the development and execution of email marketing campaigns for product news, sales promotions and events.
  • Must have a deep knowledge of social media strategies and how brands are using social media.
  • Managing the execution of Social Media activities and Create assets for social media platforms.
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy for YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Vimeo, Reddit and other platforms.
  • Write, produce, and create compelling content for each channel.
  • Monitor Social Media Channels and Get followers, likes, re-tweets, etc. with minimal assistance.

Public Relations

  • Assist with Public Relations efforts.
  • Review PR Content Calendar and strategy.
  • Maintain records of successful PR placements in print and online.

Blog Administration and Maintenance:

  • Research, generate, and distribute product centric content.
  • Promote content through weekly email marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze web analytics data to gauge content performance.
  • Perform blog maintenance activities such as updating plugins, product catalogs, and marketing assets.
  • Maximize site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.

Provide Marketing Communication Team Support and Consultation:

  • Provide overall team support and consultation on consumer facing content.
  • Interface regularly with SEMCA and Corporate senior management.
  • Manage requests and ensure deadlines are met and report on project status.
  • Supports additional Brand Marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • A soon-to-be Junior or Senior enrolled in a 4-year degree program, preferably with a marketing, advertising, and or business focus.
  • Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to collaborate across internal functions and outside companies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills along with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • A positive attitude, self-starter with superior time management and organization skills.

  • Compensation: The hourly rate is $17/hr.
  • Duration: This is a full year commitment and requires a commitment of a minimum of 20 hours a week in our Montvale, NJ office with flexibility to work from home as needed, given academic responsibilities throughout the year.  During the summer months, more hours (up to 35) will be available to work.
  • Work Arrangement: We are in a hybrid working model and require interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, up to four days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion. 
  • Transportation: Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
  • Housing: We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.
  • Work Visa: Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
