Overview

Under the direction of the Director, Services and Support, and the Document Solutions Specialist (DSS and SDSS) team the Associate Document Solutions Specialist (ADSS) is responsible for aiding in the development and support Sharp’s service partners, within an assigned geographic area. Also responsible for monitoring, investigating, and providing in-depth reporting on the field performance of all assigned products. This position would be a developmental position to the DSS position.

 

Candidates can live in a major metropolitan area of one of the following states but are willing to travel in the Southcentral region 75% of the time:  AR, MS, AL, LA, TN

Responsibilities

  • Use advanced troubleshooting tools & techniques to resolve or escalate customer issues for business partners. Perform root cause analysis using critical thinking skills and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • In conjunction with the Director, Services and Support, and the Document Solutions Specialist Team (DSS and SDSS), a critical part of the ADSS’s function is to compile, edit, and gather accurate data and information pertinent to monthly technical reports, assuring they are legible and delivered on time.
  • Working within a geographic Zone assisting DSS and SDSS to support service business partners to achieve satisfactory performance. Ensures partners are fully supported in all technical and procedural areas and that partners are satisfied with Sharp’s service and support.
  • Coordinate efforts with DSS and SDSS to ensure emergency visits are performed in a timely manner. Investigate and provide detailed reports which include surveying service partners, and research databases, performing on-site visits, obtaining samples, and researching potential solutions. Report pertinent data to management, and internal SIICA departments.
  • Utilize experience to assist and develop other Zone personnel, including accompanying personnel on routine dealer visits and providing “second-tier” support as required. Support Quality Assurance in setting up product monitoring programs.
  • As required, assist formal & informal service training classes to ensure the technical competency of service partner personnel.
  • May be required to provide Technical Hotline, phone, fax and e-mail support to service partners, as required.
  • Work closely with Sales to develop new and existing dealers in assuring they are technically proficient on hardware and software products they have been trained on to maximize the potential for additional sales. Also assure that the service partner can support the products they sell.
  • Provide support at Business & Trade Shows, internal Sharp sales meetings, and external road shows when required.
  • Is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions based on the situation at hand to maximize customer satisfaction, within acceptable corporate guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of five years of technical industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Associate’s degree in an appropriate technical subject or equivalent certification and/or business experience is highly desirable.
  • Industry-recognized Security + & Net+ certifications are highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills. Working knowledge of Apple OS and the Adobe suite products.
  • Must possess a high desire to accept a leadership role.
  • Up to 100% Southcentral travel (average is 75% of all working days per year) as well as some weekend travel.
  • Position may require the ability to lift heavy equipment or pushing & positioning

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $38,000- $62,700. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
