Reporting to the Engineering Manager, Mechanical Engineer II (MEII) will work to design, prototype, and validate new products while collaborating across the Sharp organization. This position will focus on product component design, assembly design, manufacturing processes and validation in consideration of budget, schedule, and performance requirements. The MEII position will include a focus on design of sheet metal and plastic injection molded assemblies in consumer products. Will need to be comfortable with digital engineering tools, manufacturing processes and engineering best practices. In addition, the MEII will provide production support and product validation.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
Experience working with 3D CAD software with a preference for Creo or SolidWorks in product engineering team environments.
Prefer experience with PDM and DFMEA.
Experience with design for plastic injection molding, metal stamping, and consumer products manufacturing.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $44,800- $84,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
