Summer Intern - Product Marketing

Our summer internship program offers college students hands-on experience in consumer product marketing. The Product Marketing Intern will train and collaborate with our product marketing, brand marketing, and sales teams. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills in market analysis, consumer behavior research, marketing strategy implementation, and competitive analysis.

We seek energetic, ambitious, and eager-to-learn individuals to contribute to our home appliance product marketing efforts. SHARP Home Appliances provides a comprehensive training program and a dynamic learning environment for those interested in a product marketing career.

• Monitor brick & mortar and e-commerce retail product assortments to ensure that the SHARP brand and products are properly presented.  This includes product listings, images, price points, descriptions, and other relevant assets.
• Conduct both in-person [local] store visits and review e-commerce product assortments for ongoing competitive analysis (competitive point-of-purchase messaging, consumer rebate offers, etc.) and identify threats and opportunities for SHARP.
• Create and prepare product knowledge sheets for various categories for the sales organization.
• Evaluate and monitor competitor promotional activities online.
• Analyze sales data and marketing metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies.
• Participate in the product out-of-box experience with the team, recommending improvements.
• Assist team members with various aspects of product development and launch activation.
• Create product specification comparisons across appliance brands to help identify areas of opportunity.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as requested.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for product promotion.
• Assist in organizing and coordinating promotional events and product launches.
• Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, preferences, and competitive landscape.

• This is a summer internship with a commitment of 4 days in the office in Montvale, NJ and 1 days from home  (approx. 30-35 hrs/week)
• A soon-to-be Junior or Senior enrolled in a 4-year degree program, preferably with a business focus with a concentration in marketing
• Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to collaborate across internal functions and outside companies.
• Strong interpersonal skills along with outstanding written and oral communication skills.
• Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• A positive attitude, self-starter with superior time management and organization skills.

Summer Internship Details:

• Compensation: The hourly rate is $18/hr.
• Duration: The internship program spans approximately 10 weeks, running from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025.
• Work Arrangement: This is a hybrid position, requiring interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, four days a week (Monday to Thursday), with Fridays designated for remote work at the manager's discretion. 
• Transportation: Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
• Housing: We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.
• Work Visa: Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
