Overview

The Technical Training Specialist is primarily responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs on Sharp and Sharp-branded B2B Business Products devices, ensuring team members and partners are equipped with technical expertise to support the product line. This role also includes providing hotline support on Sharp product lines and contributing to quality assurance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Training and Instructional Design (80%)

  • Develop and deliver in-depth technical training programs on Sharp and Sharp-branded devices to internal teams, dealers, and partners.
  • Create engaging and effective training materials, such as presentations, manuals, and hands-on exercises.
  • Facilitate live training sessions, including in-person workshops, webinars, and virtual demonstrations.
  • Mentor partners technical staff, enhancing their technical skills and product knowledge.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine training programs based on feedback and performance outcomes.

Hotline Support (15%)

  • Provide expert-level technical support on Sharp Business Products to external partners via hotline.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues related to Sharp-branded devices, software, and configurations.
  • Serve as a resource for addressing complex technical inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.

Quality Specialist Duties (5%)

  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to analyze product performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in product testing initiatives, providing insights to enhance device functionality and reliability.
  • Support the documentation and tracking of quality issues, offering recommendations for resolution and prevention.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Certifications in technical training, quality assurance, or related fields are a plus.
  • Extensive training in imaging, video, and data communication technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical training or instructional design.
  • 5+ years of hotline or technical support experience, preferably in the electronics industry.
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance or related experience.
  • Expert knowledge MFPs, ProAV equipment, and software.
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills, with the ability to create engaging training materials.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to networks, software, and hardware.
  • Familiarity with dealer service organizations and customer usage patterns.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel nationally up to 30% of the time.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $67,900 - $90,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
