Overview

Under the direction of the Regional Vice President or Director of Sales, the Territory Business Manager is accountable for territory sales and dealer activities.  Responsible for selling Sharp product line through dealers and attaining assigned quota.  The TBM will accomplish this by managing dealer visits, sales training, market coverage, product information, communicating with dealer community, monitoring dealer performance, and competitive product information.  The TBM will be accountable for quota attainment, revenue growth, increasing the number of dealer sales reps actively selling Sharp products and ensuring quality communications at all levels.  The TBM must be able to handle relationship building at multiple levels within the dealership and within Sharp.  The TBM must be able to effectively manage their time and travel schedules as well as those of the support team to provide coverage at all required events, training sessions, business reviews, meetings, and demonstrations.  The TBM must be able to extend their influence within assigned dealerships to secure recurring business, expand market opportunities, negotiate purchases, and provide competitive analysis.

 

This position will cover the following territories:  Seattle, Denver, Montana, Alaska, Colorado

Responsibilities

  • Achieve quota expectations and any assigned MBO’s.
  • Work with the VP or Director of Sales to ensure adequate coverage in assigned markets by building relationships with assigned dealers and prospects.
  • Accurate forecasting of sales monthly.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with assigned dealers and major accounts.
  • Effective communication of Sharp programs and promotions to dealers.
  • Train dealers’ sales representatives on the features, advantages, and benefits of the entire Sharp product line-up.
  • Manage dealer performance to expectations including:
  • Grow revenue.
  • Grow market share.
  • Grow number of sale representatives actively selling Sharp products.
  • Manage timeline and travel of self and Sharp personnel to support sales and training activities.
  • Ensure dealers’ service, technical, and specialist resources maintain training and certifications.
  • Function as the main contact/quarterback for assigned dealers.
  • Timely resolution to dealer/major account issues.
  • Manage to expense expectations and budgets.
  • Work with dealers in all areas of their business including purchase planning, credit lines, inventory management, marketing promotions, and product launches.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in selling Copier and Imaging Systems documents through the dealer channel.
  • Should have good knowledge of sales, service, and administrative functions.
  • College degree or equivalent military experience preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Up to 80% territory travel required.
  • We are open to considering candidates who reside within one of the covered territories, provided they are within a commutable distance to a major airport

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $70,900-$105,00. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
