As a Shop Technician, you'll be at the heart of setting up Sharp Business Equipment in-house efficiently and professionally. This role involves providing top-notch internal customer service to delivery drivers and field technicians who rely on remote technical support during installations. You'll also get hands-on experience with occasional on-site troubleshooting and installations. Responsibilities include managing schedules, keeping detailed records, and ensuring our setup shop and warehouse are organized and running smoothly.
- Assemble and program equipment to meet delivery timelines, ensuring everything is set up seamlessly.
- Keep meticulous records of equipment setups and manage inventory to ensure everything is accounted for.
- Assist field technicians with parts and service manual questions, using your technical expertise to solve problems.
- Keep our setup shop on track with schedules, making sure everything runs like clockwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized setup area to create a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Handle "level one" service calls and perform preventative maintenance to keep our equipment in top shape.
- Work with our service team to troubleshoot and repair equipment in-shop, ensuring our customers are always satisfied.
- Complete Sharp equipment pre-testing and training, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements.
- Perform mechanical and electronic adjustments on equipment as needed, contributing to our team's success.
- Take on projects assigned by our leadership team, bringing your energy and ideas to the table.
- Assist with warehouse operations and deliveries when needed, keeping everything moving smoothly.
- Pitch in wherever needed, whether it's fulfilling equipment orders or helping with inventory counts.
Here’s what you'll need to bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent education, with a knack for hands-on technical work.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, so you can help us get things where they need to go.
- Physical fitness to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and the stamina to stay on your feet.
- Ability to drive a 15-foot box truck.
Nice to have:
- Experience in a warehouse setting, where you’ve shown off your organizational skills.
- Familiarity with operating a forklift, helping us move things around efficiently.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office, so you can handle some of the administrative tasks that keep us running smoothly.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is $38,900 - $60,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
