Overview

The Senior Director, Reseller Sales position will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the regional sales team, aligning resources and initiatives to maximize performance. Develop and execute both short- and long-term plans that support the overarching sales vision and strategic goals. Champion innovation to improve business processes, enhance product value, and elevate customer experience. Apply broad business acumen to set clear priorities, drive financial improvement, and consistently exceed customer expectations. Serve as a key contributor to national and global sales strategy, with responsibility for scaling sales, programs and aligning execution across functions and regions.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a high-performing regional sales team.
  • Assign territories and establish sales quotas aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage all aspects of personnel decisions, including hiring, coaching, and terminations.
  • Provide strategic direction and hands-on support to help sales representatives grow revenue in their assigned territories.
  • Establish a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead strategic planning initiatives to drive market penetration and revenue growth across assigned territories.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts to inform long-range corporate planning.
  • Actively participate in executive leadership meetings and planning sessions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, HR, Legal, and Marketing to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Translate high-level business objectives into actionable sales strategies with measurable KPIs.
  • Lead annual planning and quarterly business reviews across all assigned regions.

Sales Oversight & Customer Engagement

  • Drive the team to exceed revenue targets while ensuring compliance with internal policies and operational standards.
  • Cultivate executive-level relationships with key strategic reseller and distribution partners.
  • Identify and address customer challenges, delivering value-added solutions to strengthen engagement and loyalty.
  • Maintain deep familiarity with the region’s top 25 accounts through regular field travel and direct engagement (minimum 50% travel required).
  • Lead resolution of high-impact customer escalations to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Support global sales efforts in collaboration with vertical, regional, and solutions-based sales teams.
  • Identify and recruit strategic net-new reseller partners to expand channel reach and drive market share.
  • Continuously evolve reseller engagement strategies to reflect changes in the partner ecosystem, including consolidation and emerging business models.
  • Monitor, track and set market share goals by region and by strategic partner. 

Business Management & Tools

  • Manage pricing approvals, discounting strategies, and margin compliance to support profitable growth.
  • Oversee allocation and effectiveness of sales-related investments, including Market Development Funds (MDF) and customer engagement programs.
  • Promote adoption and effective use of sales enablement tools such as Salesforce, BI platforms, and Vistex.
  • Foster innovative, solution-oriented thinking to address complex business challenges.
  • Monitor channel trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics to drive agile, data-informed decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or equivalent. Master’s degree in business administration is a plus
  • Minimum 15 year’s directly related sales experience in a high technology company including Professional Audio Visual, digital display, hardware sales
  • Minimum 8 years’ sales management, team leader experience or equivalent
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to relate, interact and lead direct reports in addition to influencing, sales and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and effectively implement regional/global sales and marketing plans
  • Experience using Salesforce.com and business intelligent analytics software
  • Minimum 50% travel required

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $185,000 - $260,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
