Overview

The Associate Manager Safety and Security  will support the execution of Sharp’s safety and security programs across facilities. This role will assist in evaluating performance metrics, coordinating with internal teams to ensure system functionality (e.g., access control, CCTV, alarms), and supporting the implementation of corrective actions. The Associate Manager will help develop and track safety KPIs, conduct hazard assessments, and assist in emergency response preparation and incident investigations. Day-to-day duties include managing routine security operations, assisting in compliance efforts, and providing after-hours support when needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in implementing the company’s Safety and Security programs by tracking key performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with facilities and operational teams to maintain compliance with established safety and security policies.
  • Support internal audits, site inspections, and risk assessments; help implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the rollout of standardized safety programs, procedures, and training materials.
  • Respond to on-site security incidents and assist with documentation and follow-up investigations.
  • Support emergency preparedness initiatives, including drills and response plans.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance and help identify and communicate potential risks.
  • Oversee daily security staff operations and scheduling under the guidance of senior management.
  • Provide leadership and training to security personnel and site supervisors.
  • Escalate critical incidents appropriately and ensure proper documentation and communication.
  • Participate in incident review meetings and support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain security reports, access records, and compliance documentation.
  • Build positive working relationships across departments and with external vendors or agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Criminal Justice, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum 3–5 years in safety or security roles
  • Experience supporting compliance or regulatory programs
  • ASP or equivalent certification is preferred
  • CPR/AED certification strongly preferred; must maintain current credentials throughout employment
  • Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) designation or equivalent OSHA training strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, and alarm monitoring tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on teamwork and service
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision, with solid decision-making and time management abilities
  • Must be flexible to respond to after-hours situations as needed
  • National travel 25% as needed to other branch locations

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $71,400 - $90,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
