Overview

The National Account Manager position will be responsible for developing new business as well as management of existing Fortune and global end user accounts. The position will require development of opportunities by working with channel and industry influencers as well as end customers. The position will also require support activities of tradeshows, training and sales seminars. Works out of an at-home office in the Los Angeles metropolitan area and travel as required. Experience with Vertical Market and Solution Selling is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing key vertical market and/or assigned accounts
  • Knowledge of commercial products including LED & LCD Displays, Projectors, ePaper and content management systems a plus
  • Articulate knowledge of industry, system solution sales consultations, and relevant related products and solutions
  • Articulate the differences between competitor products in order to position Sharp products in the marketplace
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of complex sales concepts and share expertise with others as a role model and technical lead
  • Develop relationships with enterprise-level end users and/or strategic partners to maximize large selling opportunities with strategic end users
  • Demonstrate strong negotiation and influencing skills, identifying and satisfying customer needs
  • Develop additional business opportunities within the organization, respond to RFQ/RFP for large scale complex projects
  • Demonstrate effective planning and organizational skills for sales calls and manage time effectively
  • Clearly communicate and effectively present in front of customers especially at C-Suite Level
  • Communicate general developments in hardware and industry related issues.
  • Travel up to 60% within territory
  • Articulate general developments in hardware and industry related issues
  • Complete required Territory Business Plan that focuses on applicable accounts, vertical markets, and new business development
  • Effectively utilize the sales reporting tool on all forecasts, allocations, management requests, marketing request, and expense reports
  • Develop thought leadership expertise within assigned End User accounts.
  • Proactively creates marketing and demand programs to increase sells
  • Attend and support company tradeshows and other customer events including assisting with set up and tear down

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, International Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years’ sales experience within the high tech or Pro A/V industry
  • Proven ability to develop and manage successful account business strategies that increase market share and profitability
  • Experience with LED display systems, complex systems solutions, digital signage systems including, multi-display arrays, enterprise software signage and control solutions
  • Experience with solution sales or consultative sales
  • Experience with complete solutions/application sales process
  • Proven experience developing and managing large single-project account relationships
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence and close large and complex sales opportunities
  • Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Experience developing and managing account relationships
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Experience with MS Office including Outlook
  • Ability to work independently from your home office within the territory
  • Ability to travel up to 60% within territory
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, International Business or Marketing is a plus

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $145,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
