Overview

The Remote Management & AI Software Product Management Intern will support the Software Product Management team with research, analysis, and strategic planning related to AI technologies and product readiness. This part-time internship offers exposure to real-world product management practices, including competitive AI research, developing actionable in insights, and hands-on product evaluation. The role provides valuable experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, product strategy, and software development.

Responsibilities

  • AI Competitive Research
    • Independently use AI technologies to conduct competitive research and track emerging AI trends.
    • Analyze competitor product offerings and summarize key findings for the product management team.
    • Provide insights that help shape discussions on product positioning and strategy.
  • Dealer Market Research
    • Assist in ongoing research about dealer sales activities, including third party offerings in adjacent markets (e.g. content management, etc).
    • Learn how to analyze sales and market data to identify potential product opportunities.
  • Strategic Product Readiness (Synappx Manage v1.10)
    • Take part in reviewing product documentation for clarity and accuracy.
    • Join mobile app review sessions to learn how product teams assess usability and quality.
    • Contribute feedback and observations to help shape product readiness discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work with the software product management team and other SEC departments to learn how research supports product roadmaps.
    • Create summary presentations and notes to share findings with the team.
    • Gain exposure to the processes that guide software product launches.

 

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
  • Interest in artificial intelligence, product strategy, and software product management.
  • Strong curiosity, research, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable communicating findings in written or verbal form.
  • Familiarity with mobile apps and Microsoft Office Suite is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and proactive in asking questions.

 Internship Details:

  • Compensation: The hourly rate is $18/hr.
  • Duration: This is a Winter and Spring semester commitment and requires a minimum of 10-15 hours a week.  
  • Work Arrangement: We are in a hybrid working model and require interns to be in the office in Montvale, NJ, up to 2-3 days a week (Monday to Thursday).
  • Transportation: Since the office location in Montvale, NJ, is not accessible by public transportation, interns must have reliable transportation.
  • Housing: We do not provide housing or a housing stipend for interns.
  • Work Visa: Unfortunately, we do not offer work visa sponsorship for this role, including participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
