Overview

The Service Manager working on the Sharp Display Solutions Operations Team is responsible for planning, organizing, executing, and coordinating post installation service engagement.  The Service Manager is responsible for scheduling and planning of preventative maintenance calls, along with the implementation of Service Plans.  The Service manager is the liaison between the Sales Team, Solution Architects, End Users, General Contractors, Equipment Manufacturers, and other stakeholders as well as project managers within Sharp.  This position could travel up to 75% travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage post-install project financials: expense reporting of labor, freight, materials.
  • Manage post install project logistics: labor, freight and materials.
  • Maintain project fold with system design documentation, bill of materials, and scope of work for each project.
  • Coordinate service engagement with contact center partner.
  • Communicate service status and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Deploy 3rd party contractors and ensure they comply with good workmanship practices, safety and security protocols.
  • Establish clear understanding of expectations for service and maintenance.
  • Maintain installed systems after project completion.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and ensuring proper Return Material Authorization (RMA) procedure is followed.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively answer service calls per the defined Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Be Level 3 onsite support for post installation client issues.
  • Provide basic onsite service training to end users or reseller customers.
  • Train system integrators on basic troubleshooting and functionality of installed system.
  • Provide expertise support for Field Sales and Customer Service agents.
  • Respond to field technical issues and answer Level 3 technical calls in person or via phone or email.
  • Repair, replace parts onsite to return products to operational status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical and or Mechanical technical field, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience deploying audio-visual systems and associated mechanical structures
  • End-to-end project deployment with hands-on experience installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of advanced audio-visual systems
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience. Project Management certification a plus
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to resolve conflicts
  • Proficient using MS Office applications: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Skilled in Salesforce / SAP
  • Proficient using CAD applications
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn control software
  • Previous display technology experience in LCD, Projection, LED a plus
  • Travel to job sites as required [Up to 75%]

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $100,000-$120,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
