Overview

This position will play a key role in supporting core accounting and finance functions. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of the Finance organization. Primary responsibilities include preparing account reconciliations, reviewing P&L expenses, assisting with the annual budget process, and supporting critical month-end close activities, primarily ASC 842 lease accounting. The role also involves preparing purchase requisitions, managing ad hoc projects, and responding to requests from Internal / External auditors.

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage the Lease Accounting (ASC 842) process ensuring accuracy and integrity of Company’s financial records.
  • Ensure accuracy of the Lease accounting system (Lease Query) including update of calculations, generation/posting of monthly journal entries, reconciliation with General Ledger, and development of roll-forwards.
  • Payment process ensuring accuracy and timeliness for approximately 60 rental properties.
  • Manage tracker system monitoring invoice status, including GR/IR and payment progress.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Real Estate, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure timely processing of payments
  • Assist with goods receipt entries for lease-related rent payments and coordinate with the Accounts Payable team as needed.
  • Review expenses for assigned Departments ensuring accuracy and explanations of variances to Budget
  • Manage credit card statement processing ensuring proper coding and expense allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Finance to address special requests from the Real Estate, Accounting, and Finance teams, providing timely and accurate support.

Qualifications

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-3 years of related work experience
  • Strong MS Excel experience required
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Lease Accounting software experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills required

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $59,000-$65,000. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
