Overview

Dynabook Americas is seeking a proactive, strategic, and results-driven Federal Account Executive to support the growth of our U.S. Federal Government business. Reporting directly to the Director of Federal Sales, this role will be responsible for executing Dynabook’s sales strategy across civilian and defense agencies, identifying opportunities, managing customer relationships, and closing deals that drive adoption of Dynabook laptops, solutions, and services within the federal sector.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling technology into government accounts, a working knowledge of federal procurement processes, and a passion for building trusted relationships with public sector customers and channel partners.

Responsibilities

Sales Execution:

  • Own and manage the end-to-end federal sales process—from prospecting and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics within designated federal agencies and programs.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, program managers, IT leaders, and contracting officials across key federal accounts.
  • Understand agency missions, funding priorities, and upcoming projects to align Dynabook’s solutions with customer needs.
  • Conduct virtual and in-person meetings, demos, and presentations tailored to federal use cases and compliance requirements.

Collaboration with Channels and Partners:

  • Work closely with federal resellers, integrators, and distributors to co-develop and close opportunities.
  • Support channel partners in responding to RFPs, RFIs, and contract vehicles such as GSA, SEWP, and 2GIT.
  • Leverage partner relationships to expand Dynabook’s reach within targeted agencies.

Internal Coordination:

  • Partner with the Director of Federal Sales to align sales strategy, account targeting, and quarterly planning.
  • Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth deal execution and post-sale support.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams on product needs, customer challenges, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience selling technology solutions into the U.S. Federal Government, preferably laptops, mobile devices, or IT solutions.
  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, funding cycles, and contracting practices.
  • Strong network of federal government relationships, particularly with civilian and defense agencies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles, including RFP responses and negotiations.
  • Experience with federal contract vehicles (GSA, SEWP, 2GIT, etc.).
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue, capture market share and retain customers
  • Keeping current with emerging sales best practices

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience selling laptops, mobile computing solutions, or IT hardware into the public sector.
  • Familiarity with federal contract vehicles (GSA Schedule, SEWP, 2GIT, etc.).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity compliance requirements (FedRAMP, NIST, CMMC).
  • Experience working with systems integrators or federal VARs.
