The individual will lead and resolve cross-functional commercial, manufacturing and technical issues in a proactive manner both within the company, and between the company and the CUSTOMER Design Release Engineer (DRE) and Product Development Team (PDT).  The position is responsible to develop and maintain business relationships with Sharp’s Domestic Manufacturing groups as well as third party Contract Manufacturing (CM) companies as required to develop, launch, and maintain automotive direct business. This position takes direction from the Sharp Automotive Accounts Director.   The Automotive Program Manager is the person responsible for leading the team that executes the many tasks required in the development and launch of a product for manufacturing in a global organization.  This role is highly leveraged or “matrixed”, and requires the person to be a commercially and technically capable individual that can get work done by others in their organization and at the CUSTOMER.
